The Narrative
Brendo's Tours is one of the Hunter Valley's most personal wine experiences — run by Brendon, a WSET Level 1 and 2 qualified guide with over 20 years of hospitality experience and the last several years spent immersed in the Hunter Valley's wine country. That combination of formal wine education and genuine regional expertise shows in every tour.
All-inclusive tailored personal tours start from $170 per person, rising to $270 for the premium bespoke experience. Every tour includes pickup from accommodation, all transfers between venues, wine, beer, and spirit tastings at each stop, a lunch at one of the Hunter Valley's finest eateries, sightseeing of the picturesque wine country, and — the detail that guests consistently rave about — the chance to see kangaroos in the wild as part of the day.
The all-inclusive, door-to-door structure removes every logistical headache from the day. Brendon handles the bookings, the driving, the routing, and the wine knowledge — guests simply show up and enjoy the valley. With groups kept small and tours genuinely tailored to each booking, no two days are exactly alike.
The Hunter Valley that Brendon explores daily is home to some of Australia's most distinctive wine styles — aged Semillon that develops extraordinary complexity over a decade, and Shiraz of a warm-climate richness that's uniquely Hunter in character. The WSET qualification means the wine education woven through every stop is accurate, useful, and delivered without pretension.

Frequently asked
- What does WSET qualification mean for the tour experience?
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Levels 1 and 2 provide Brendon with a structured understanding of wine regions, grape varieties, winemaking, and tasting technique. It means the wine knowledge delivered throughout the tour is formally grounded rather than anecdotal — genuinely useful context for the wines you're tasting.
- Can we really see kangaroos in the wild?
- Yes — Brendon incorporates scenic sightseeing of the Hunter Valley's countryside into the day, including locations where wild kangaroos can typically be spotted. It's a highlight that guests consistently mention in their reviews.
- What's included in 'all-inclusive'?
- The all-inclusive tours include pickup and return to your accommodation, all transfers between venues, wine, beer, and spirit tastings at every stop, and a lunch at one of the Hunter Valley's best eateries. The only additional spend is if you choose to purchase bottles to take home.
